What's the best dishwashing detergent?

I was using Cascade liquid for a while, but it kept getting spots on the dishes. My wife's mom recommended this stuff called Electrasol which works pretty well. Basically, it consists of these little plastic packets of dishwashing liquid. You put one in the detergent cup, close it up and run the dishwasher. Apparently, what happens is that water makes the packet dissolve and releases the liquid.

bought a tub of electrosol powder at the membership club store, seems to work better than the gel (which I used to use). Must have jet dry istalled.

Yeah, we use those Electrasol packets too.

My dishwasher doesn't seem to digest the packets too well, I've tried them. 🙁

I've seen jet dry, does it really work? It seemed more like a pricey gimmick.
