What's the best digital photo album software out there?

I just received my digital camera for Xmas, and so far I'm using Canon's ZoomBrowser to organize pics on my harddrive (surprisingly sweet little app, for a bundled freebie). Now I'm looking to start burning pics into a photo album, on a CD ... but I don't know what my options are here. Software that burns PhotoCD format? Some other format? I want something I can send to my folks (who have various flavors of PC clunkers), and it will "just work".

Suggestions?

I love CompuPic Pro by Photodex. It's about a hundred dollars, but you can DL a time-bombed trial version that can be *ahem*defused*cough*.

Another one is "ThumbsPlus" it is sharewear and can be downloaded. It manages all your pics, into most formats and allows you to create contact sheets of your pics. It is user friendly.

Both of these look great -- thanks! CompuPic Pro in particular has a nice-looking CD-ROM creation software that seemed to fit my exact needs -- "So easy, even your mother can use it!" Took the words out of my mouth ...

I've also tried FlipAlbum, but I find it pretty suboptimal -- the interface is odd, and the viewer it includes on the created CD-ROMs is appallingly slow (large albums actually start to bring my dual 1Ghz system to a stagger!).

Thanks for the info,
J

You've gotta try PicturesToExe! I actually registered this program (which I'll admit is not too common for me ;)). It compiles any number of photos into a single EXE file (or screensaver) so you can just pop the EXE on a CD and send it to anyone. It's really easy to use to boot.
