LOL

The only stuff I have ever bought off of Ebay have been old CDs and DVDs that I had a hard time finding elsewhere.

I was looking for a spefic hepa filter for when I had a cat, everywhere I looked it was $300, I searched Ebay and found only of on there but it was $100! so I bought it and still use it to this day.

I got 2 Express 1MX shirts (new) for a total of $25.

I also got my car for $7000, when it was KBB Private Party for $9800.

Hmm My seiko watch 300 cheaper then local merchants. I just scored a cell phone charger for home/auto and also a data cable for 17 bucks shipped. Considering worst buy sells the same data cable for 80 bucks and the charger for 30 that is a great deal.

Pair of Dr Marten boots, slightly used, in a color that's near impossible to find in my size for $40, and a pair of Dr Marten sandals for $10
Got my Sony receiver free, because it shipped with another item in the box that got broken in shipping, so I was reimbursed for the entire auction cost to replace the second item (dual-deck VCR). Would have been $187 otherwise, which was still a pretty good deal.

My front speakers (Boston Acoustics). MSRP was $1200, retail was around $800-900 and I got them for like $475 IIRC. They were listed as being used, but you could see that they had only been used briefly, if at all (still had the protective plastic covering on some parts, although there was a tiny scratch on one of the feet). Plus the guy lived like an hour away so I picked them up to avoid shipping.

A wallet that normally sells for $15, I got for $12. But seriosly, a guitar that they don't make anymore (ESP Explorer, pre-lawsuit, the cool shape not the crappy new "explorer" shape from ESP. $360. Has gone UP in value @ $475 with 2 days left in the aution http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33038&item=3734974207&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

Even better deal that I thought, paid $360 about 2 years ago, now selling for $680. Best investment I've had

Bought some stuff from staples that my manager wanted to get rid of.

GPS for Palm, paid 9 bucks, sold for 100
2 Drum's for panasonic faxes, paid 1.50, sold for 70 and 90 😛

I average about 50% MSRP on new stuff....good enough for me.

For the business I used to do (Cisco), finding items at $5-10 that can be resold for hundreds and even thousands was very uncommon but happened enough.

One of the best was a group of 10 or so items for $100 with no other bids (take all at $100 not $100 each). They came in as the higher end piece we were hoping for (only one chip difference and the same silkscreening on the cards)....we were able to sell each one at $750 to $1500.

The best deals came at auctions though or privately. Ebay is becoming too well known to be consistant.

I bought a cisco aironet 350 pcmcia card when they were new for $45 shipped, all the other guys on ebay were $150+ for it and retail stores were quite a bit more, but this one had buy it now, so I hit it up, get an email saying it is $45 shipped, so I paid by paypal did buyers protection and got the item, I was skeptical at first, but I figure the guy prolly jacked it and didn't know what it was worth now.
