Whats the best deal for a 19 inch monitor

Built a machine for a friend from spare parts(starter machine... get em hooked and then let em upgrade themselves into the poor house...), but I don't have an extra monitor. Talked his woman into getting him one for xmas, but now I need to find something decent.

Looking to spend $150 to $300(closer to $150 the better), but want to get something with a decent screen and will last awhile.

Any suggestions?

Topochicho - I would suggest trying to actually SEARCH for a previous thread on a possible 19" deal.

Just try typing 19 and you'll see at least 40 different threads on 19" monitor deals. You just missed the BEST deal which was a KDS AV-195TF for $310. If you're already a new Mercata customer and have never made a purchase, you should still have that 20% off Mercata dollars special then you're in luck. Otherwise, "you snooze, you lose".

So just try searching and you'll find well over 40 threads regarding 19" monitor deals ...

Wouldnt the compaq monitor be the best deal? Even without the mercata $ off, I think it would only cost about $220. I just got mine today and am very happy with it.

i just got the compaq and it is a good monitor for the $149.00
that I paid. I don't know if you have the merata or msn passport or
ebates that we used to get this monitor.It is NOT a flat
screen but it is a nice monitor.good luck
