So I just got done cleaning up my credit crap that was building for a while -- paid off all of my CC
s and all other debt... finally. Anyway, I have 3 Visa cards from chase bank right now.. I'm looking to close 2 of them and keep the one I got first.(unless some credit experts advise me not to).. anyway, I'm only keeping the one I got first open because I hear its good for your credit to have a card thats been around for a while.

After closing my other 2 cards I'd like to open a new CC with a low interest rate.. mainly because previously I've made some dumb choices chosing cards (went for things that gave $100 or some free gift card, etc, etc BS.. so I'm wondering what you all suggest? Preferably one with no annual fee.

Thanks :)

Chase Freedom. Still have to be careful, as you would any credit card, though.

+1 for Chase Freedom Signature.

I've had mine for two months now, and everything works as it should.

3% cash back for your top 3 categories of spending. If your spending habits change, it doesn't matter. Whatever your top 3 categories happen to be monthly, will get you your 3% back.

When you accrue $50 in cash back, you can cash out -or- wait until you have $200 in rewards and Chase will send you a check for $250.

If you do it that way, your 3% is actually 3.75%.

Oh, and you get a $50 credit just for signing up.

Not too shabby at all.

You shouldnt care about the interest rate, unless you plan to rack the balance back up again and get back in the same mess you just got yourself out of. Let the credit cards work for you, or dont use them at all. The day you pay a penny of interest, you're starting back down that road to debt.

edit: I use an AMEX Blue Cash for everything, which netted me $650 cash back last year. It's paid off every month.
