So, what is the best chocolate you've ever had - can be dark, milk or white. How much did it cost?

And please, give me some responses other than Godiva and Hershey's Special Dark ;)

EDIT: I guess I should list mine.

Dark: Puertomar - By Domori
Milk: Cocoa de Maracaibo - By Hachez
White: Icoa - By El Ray

I like Milka Alpenmilch. It's pretty cheap but can be hard to find in the states. EDIT: That said, I don't know that it's the best chocolate I've ever had... I'd just like some right now :p

I like crepes does that count? Truffles are good too but crepes are lighter.

i have to say my ultimate chocolate downfall are Godiva chocolate covered strawberries. They are HUGE and so amazingly delectable.

Dark Divine Chocolate. 70% Cocoa.

The site isn't great and it's kind of a pain to find somewhere to buy from in the US. Most sites are from the UK.

European chocolates PWN >>>>>>> American chocolates.

I hate to admit it, but it's true.

I have a family friend who does all kinds of things with chocolate (used to be a chef) and she orders online & these 11lb. bricks show up at her door. (.5kg???)

Anyway........the chocolate is simply to die for. So rich it'll send you into an insulin coma.........LOL!!

I'll try & find the site where she orders hers from & report back here.

I can't really tell good chocolate apart...plus if I eat anything too sweet my teeth hurt... :(
Someone bought me chocolates from Europe before, that tasted good, but I wasn't overwhelmed by it or anything. I didn't even finish it, threw it away after 4 months.

I like Ritter Sport. I find it consistently good, not that expensive, and readily available Trader Joe's!

Just how good is this? Well, before I found Ritter Sport, I hated the taste of chocolate!

Quality in a square, FTW!

Schauffenberger (here is Berkeley, CA) is pretty damn good. Although I like hershey's, so you can't call me an expert.

Best chocolate I ever had was on the "Royal Mile" in Edinburgh (Scotland). I forget the name of the place (might it have been called "Chocolate"?). Chocolate in liquid form, BTW, old school style.

I wouldn't say they're exactly HUGE considering they run $6.50 a pop.
