whats the BEST/CHEAPEST mobo for a duron?

check out Epox, they have great mobo's for durons/ athlon's that overclock well.. and run for about 85 bucs also! 🙂

Hmm, I havent heard much about that motherboard (havent exactly looked into it either) but I built a system not too long ago that was a duron system, I put in an Elitegroup ECS K7VZA. It doesnt support overlocking afaik, but it was a very very stable motherboard with performace exactly the same as a higher end socket A mobos. I personally own a A7V, but if overlocking wasnt inportant, I would own the ECS K7VZA.

Just a second thought if that other one doesnt work out. O yeah, VERY CHEAP too. In canada the a7pro is going for someting like 170, the ECS K7VZA goes for around 115. Nice price.
 
If you want stable, I would suggest taking a look at the MSI K7T Turbo. Under $100 and mine has worked well for the 6 weeks or so that it has been running the Duron 850.
