Whats the best Cellular provider...Need you opinion

What is the best cellular provider? I have Cingular now, and they suck, I can't even get a signal any where near my house.
I was looking at Sprint or Nextel...Any opinions?

okay, maybe if you mentioned this before hand I would have told you...........

" DO NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT
NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT
NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT
NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT get cingular."

I have AT&T, ive had it for over a year here in the LA area and its great, I never have cut offs (only inside buildings) but most areas where I reside are fine.

cingular SUCKS! but i also heard that Verizon is pretty good too.

danny~!

Personally, I think Voicestream is going to be the Cellular company of choice. GPRS anyone? From what I understand, anyone that doesn't run a GSM network won't be able to have GPRS (56k data wireless connection)

It really depends on your location. One provider can be better than another in any single place. In my old apartment my Bellsouth (and then Cingular) phone didn't work too well, but my Sprint phone was alright. Then I moved, and the Spring phone was absolutely terrible. Switched back to Cingular, and it's crystal clear -- just like talking on my normal phone.

Try out friends' phones and see how they work where you spend most of your time.

I agree, depends on your locale....

I went through Bellsouth Mobility (now called Cingular), Sprint PCS, US Cellular, Primeco (now called Verizon), AT&T, and finally settled on Voicestream (was Powertel when i first switched to em).. 🙂 whew...

The ONLY one where i got coverage in my house was Voicestream, all the others sucked here in Florida... at least for me...

Calcio - Every cell phone provider varies in quality according to the geographic region.

I would suggest editing your thread title to include the city/state you're inquiring about.

<< I am actually in The San Francisco Bay Area, In the heart of Silicon Valley. >>

i live in the bay area too and have been on sprint the last 4 years. it kind of sucked the first year but it's gotten a lot better. i hardly ever get dropped calls (once or twince a year) and never got system busy signals. my friends are on verizon and at&t and their service seems to be pretty good. cingular sucks in the bay area. my mom and sis both have cingular and constantly get the system busy and their calls get sent directly to voicemail after one ring. well at least their plan is up in feb.

edit: forgot to mention, i live in sf and use to travel to hayward for school and always had a pretty good signal. also if you live near silicon valley, the signal is strong there too.

i've been using cingular for a while now... and I hate to admit... but they do suck... I have a friend who works for them and he hooked me up. Thats why i'm using them. But i'd have so say the verizon is probably the best....

I have had Cingular, Voicestream & Verizon in the past.

Of the 3, I would say Verizon was best in my area.
I looked at Sprint & Nextel, but their coverage are was pretty poor around me.

I think I am going Verizon or AT & T here in the Bay Area after my contract ends on January 31st. I have had nothing but problems with Cingular.
