I know this won't be the popular answer, but I love my Kingwin 848. It's not too big, not too small. It's sleek looking, but not too flashy. It has a removable MB tray, plenty of room inside for cooling, and cost wise it doesn't break the bank. I originally was dead set on getting a Wavemaster, but the pc store by my house stopped carrying them the week I wanted to get it (figures hahah) so I bought this Kingwin as a distant 2nd choice.

I absolutly love the case now. You said "best under 300" I haven't seen a non moded 300$ case, but I suppose with a real nice PSU $300 wouldn't be all that much.

CM Stacker: My personal favorite. Enormous, Future Proof, whats not to like besides the cost? (Supports all form factors including BTX).

Tt Soprano: Dont really like Tt but the dual 120mm fans slots (ditch their fans get get Nexus or Panaflo or something) are very nice. The Cooler Master Wave master is a nice alternative to this case.

Antec: Classic computer case! Cools very well and is fairly quiet even though it ahs 4 80mm fans.

Edit: And the Lian-Li (VERY high quality)

Wow for 265 bucks that case has got to be gold plated. Not worth it imho, there are many other cheaper cases with high quality fabrication.

Yup... Lian-Li simply cannot be beat for quality or design. Comes with soundproofing too. I'm never getting anything else.

Youve obviously never had a high quality case. Shuddup.

Lain Li is good, but so is Silverstone. Saying youll never get anything else is idiotic.

I like my PC-V2000. I've had it since June and it's working out well, minus a few small, easy to get over quirks.

Too true... Those of us that HAVE purchased quality cases know that being stingy won't get you a high quality case that will last you for years on end.

I've had other case brands, but since getting the V1100 I'm sticking with Lian-Li... The way I see it, they are akin to how Coolermaster USED to be. I had one of the CM ATC-110 cases for a while, and it was great. I sold it and went through a few more cases before getting the Lian-Li V1100... Now I'm sticking with this line from Lian-Li... My next one will be the V1100 or V2100 unless they come out with something even better...

At 300$ you can get any of the high quality cases you want. Restrictions only apply to that zalman TN case which I really wouldnt want anyways. If it were my 300$, I would go with the LianLi V2000 series cases. Antec P180 looks interesting as a concept.

the v2000 is beautiful. I finally saw one in person today as my buddies just arrived. My only question is how is the cooling performance? I have heard mixed reviews

Whatever floats your boats, but sticking to a brand just becuase its a brand has noithing to do with cases. Brand loyalty is lame! Choose whats best based on what it is, not who made it.
