I'm undecided on the beef jery but snackmaster's teriyaki turkey jerky is awesome. My cat knows the crinkly sound of the bag and comes running for it now. No preservatives / sodium nitrate either.

What brand do you like, or do you make your own and how?

Tillamook! :)

I would love to get a dehydrater and make my own... OMG! Yum..

For like dollars a pound, instead of dollars an oz..

Sometimes these are regional things, too.

I've never heard of tillamook.

Yeah, I know... :p

It's a local cheese/dairy place here in Oregon.

Bah, they don't even have their jerky on their website.. Maybe someone else makes it, just with their name on it.

Or maybe they don't make it anymore. It's been a while since I've had it.

Ooh.. Maybe it was Tillamook County jerky..

I don't really remember..

Tillamook jerky is AWESOME.

I think Amish recommended it in another jerky thread, I went and ordered some of it online, man that stuff is good!

Are there any local Portland stores which sell Tillamook jerky?

I'm sure there are lots. You could try WinCo.

Anybody that has Tillamook cheese(which is nearly every grocery store around here) should have some Tillamook meat products too.

Yeah but they're by far the best Ferengi place to shop for groceries.. Their prices are second to none.

Their prices are so-so.

If you watch out for Albertson's SALES, plus they accept competitor's coupons, PLUS manufacturer's coupons which you can DOUBLE using Safeway's DOUBLE COUPONs.

My uncle makes the best jerky on earth, I cannot stop eating the stuff, I will literally go through a 2-3 pound bag of it every day when I am down there, it is pretty spicy, and tangy, just the right mixture, plus it is chewy, takes forever to chew it up.

Do the people behind you in line let out a collective groan?

So you have to tell them to double the coupons because safeway is always double?
What's the best place for coupons, the sunday paper?

The people behind us are usually groaning but not because of all the coupons but because of our savings.

$15.90 retail total
$9.90 after coupons, pricematching, doubling, etc.

$6 savings for a few minutes of clipping

Sunday newspaper is the best source for manufacturer coupons
