What's the best bang-for-the-buck P-III for overclocking? On MSI i815EP

Need some input, PLanning on getting a >$250.00 Intel CPU + MSI 6337 i815EP mobo. Which CPU is readily hitting 1Ghz w/a quality motherboard/RAM/PS/etc..?

Compuwiz1 has reported that the 700 cC0's are the most reliable.

I have a BX board and to be conservative got an 850 cB0 that does 1000, but wouldn't jump to 1050.

For that sort of money you should be getting a PIII 800/850 E, they're currently the best bang for buck PIII's IMO. Speak to compuwiz1 and see what sort of a deal he can do for you.

800E and 850E are not the best bang for the buck. My experience with them is, they have been tougher to get to 1GHz and over, than a 700E cC0.

This said, they ARE around the same price as a 700 at most places
