What's the best bang for buck voice over internet software?

both free but it would be nice to have a few more details..... were you looking for an internet phone service?

I've used Skype as both PC->PC communication as well as PC->Phone (SkypeOut) and the quality is fantastic.

PC->PC is free, though PC-Phone is not but is very cheap.

Is it just me or as skype gotten a bit worse when it comes to stability and quality the later in version number it gets?

Thx for the reply... I have been unable to get on the net in the last few days... indeed, I am wondering about internet phone services...

Ventrilo is a LOT clearer than TS but not as clear as Skype but Skype takes more system resources I think .. end result = ventrilo for gaming
