What's the best 939 Motherboard w/ PCI-E? THE POLL TO END ALL 939 POLLS!

what's the general consensus as the best mobo currently for s939 mobos? i know there are similar thread but they haven't been bumped in a while and i'm sure opinions might have changed.

i dont care about SLI if it's going to hinder the performance of the mobo compared to a non-SLI version of the same board
 
I would say the A8N-SLI. Yes, its SLI, but if you get an SLI capable card, then sometime later you get another card, you could run SLI 😀 . Its a great mobo, from what I heard, but I am sticking with my good ol' AGP, as to me, PCI-E is about as worthless as a 2.4GHz Prescott 😛 😀 .
 
hmm interesting... it seems the DFI is the best overall but has stability issues... MSI's is great overall but there's a bad batch (revision 2 and i dont like taking these chances).... ASUS is all around average....

im disappointed epox didn't release a good product for the socket 939 cpus... i'm a big fan of them since i currently have the epox 8kha+... great board.
 
I'd recommend the A8N... been running on one for about 4 months now. No problems at all really, minor ones if any 🙂
 
If anyone would bother to send me one of each of the above, plus an FX-55 to test it with (one for each mobo), I'll give you conclusion, assuming that I get to keep of it. 🙂

You have to be kidding me right? There are more people having problems with these boards than any other S939 board that I know of. Yes, motherboards are going to have quirks, but the chance you take of having a faulty DFI Nf4 mobo is great. And yes, I know many problems are user error, but the owner of the local shop has been building computers for 15 years, and he received three DFI NF4 boards. All three of them were faulty. Maybe DFI can release some BIOS updates to fix all of these problems, and then I will reconsider.

i thought a new batch of msi's (revision 2) are all quirkY?
 
Was just creating a name, didnt really care. Just go for msi its good overall performance/oc ability/stability ect JUST GET IT lol.
 
Plus the Msi is better than the asus in ocing (if your worried about that). Asus though is the same in stability/performance.
 
I haven't heard of anyone having problems with those, of course that may be because not as many people have them. Personally I don't want the same thing as everyone else. I've heard alot of people glorifying the DFI because of overclockability and well it's just the "in" thing. From what I've read though the Abit Fatality has the same overclocking ability as the DFI. It is more expensive but I just don't like the way the DFI looks. I'm a sucker for that red and black PCB I guess. I'm still going with the Abit.
 
yea chaintech is good too, some people haveing problems with passive cooling on it thought, but thats ok. 🙂
 
are most of you guys picking dfi just becuz of oc'ing abilities? or also becuz the way it parforms and stability?
 
i pick dfi due to its overclocking ability...

somehow mem modules that didn't work well on other boards work well on this board...

it's great board with lots of features and if you get the ultra-d version (older one) then its moddable to a SLI board
