What's the best 420-D nForce board?

A friend is ordering today and needs to know 🙂

Certainly not the cheaper MSI board.
Anything better than Asus?
What makes a specific board better than the baseline?
Looking for both the integrated LAN & premium audio...

This will sound harsh to THG, but I really think that thier reviews I have seen one too many lately reviews from THG that contradict Anandtech's reviews, and truthfully, I think that their credibility is getting low. My point in relation to the best nForce board is, these 2 reviews basically say that its crap and that is hardly the case. nForce is much closer to KT266A then they say. So, truthfully, I think that the K7N420 Pro is unless you need multiplier adjustment, it is supirior to A7N266 for sure and probably A7N266-E also because A7N266 is allready $20-30 more than K7N420 Pro and A7N266-E is more like $50-60 more. So that's my 2c

Athlon4all, Anand has yet to post a review of either the Asus or MSI nForce boards so how can THG's review be in "contradiction" to Anand's review? THG reviewed shipping boards not a hand made board from nVidia so I think the THG review holds more weight then Anand's.

Because, the review that was linked was determined to be a bunch of bullspit in a previous thread.

Snoop, the only thing that thread proved was THG poor use of the english language. No one in that thread states the benchmarks were wrong, faked or bogus. Their just arguing about THG stating that the KT266A "trounces" the nforce 420D when it only wins by 1-2%.

Thus, when someone states a product "Trounces" another product by 1-2%, I I infer that either the reviewer is biased, incompetant or both. Especially when the Standard deviation btw the KT266a's was higher than 1-2%.

well said Snoop

THG's poor choice of words does not negate there findings. To say that the results of THG's benchmarks are wrong because they used the world trounced instead of beat out is stupid.
