i would say you should go with the 4.32 version. as far as i know there aren't older versions that perform better and the latest ones are supposed to fix some bugs. i haven't heard any reasons to stick with an older version

Newer is almost always better with a few exceptions.

The latest 4.32 4in1's seem to be pretty reliable.

I know this may seem stupid, but i've read alot about 4in1's and i'm not really sure what they are. What do they affect and who makes them? Thanks.

they are drivers for VIA chipsets...since there are a lot of motherboards that use both via northbridge and southbridge chips, they have put them in a "service pack" instead of individually, in order to give you agp, ide, etc... drivers all at once. no via=no need for the 4in1 drivers (and you might only need one of the drivers if you only use a via southbridge, like a lot of the amd ddr motherboards that use the amd 761 northbridge)

4.32, and 4.31 ruined my system. I was running fine on the 4.29's and installed the 4.32's figuring "nothing could be worse.. just might not be any change for the good"...just to make it brief, I've got to format...

out of curiosity, Scouzer, are you using winME? i have had driver "issues" hose win98/ME installs, but so far my win2k install has withstood driver problems
