My left clicker on my intelimouse intellieye (the two button w/ scrolly wheel) is mush. It's only 4 months old and the left click button is kaput. It's all mushy and double clicks when I don't want it to.

Is there any sort of warranty on this thing? I only use it like 4 hours a day.

And while I'm at, any good mouse recommendations that don't "mush out" as quickly :)

I have a Microsoft intellimouse optical and it hasn't broken downn for 4 months =)..hehe
They're very good I think, going forward and backward in IE is just a left or right click...on the sides that is.
My friends Explorer mouse cord broke and he's had it for at least half a year, he phoned ms and they sent him a replacement.

I have that Intelli Optical too and have had it since last July. Havent had any problems out of it at all. Works perfectly. May be defective. I bought mine at Best Buy and I got a 3 Year Free Replacement Warranty on it. No hassles or questions asked. Pretty good if you ask me.

My Intellimouse Explorer is going strong after ~1 year. Best mouse I ever owned. The silly faux metal finish is wearing-off a bit though :(.

I also suspect you got a defective unit. I'd hope after only 4 months it's still under some kind of warranty.

I've had mine for ~8 months and it's working rock solid. It's the best mouse I ever had. :)

Ornery beat me to it...yes they have a 5yr warranty. You can login w/ your MSN passport and talk to a tech, and request a new one if needed.

My first Intellimouse quit after 3 months. The 5 year warranty is on the box. Considering this, there should be no receipt necessary for exchanges for 4 more years.

I bought an intellimouse explore in Taiwan during summer and it stop working last week. Since i live in Canada i called Microsoft tech support and they actually are sending a new replacement to me! All they need is the number on the back of your mouse, pretty neat eh?

Standing behind their hardware is one of the things that Micro Soft does right. They replaced a force feedback joystick and a keyboard that my 3 year old beat the hell out of with out any questions asked.

I second that. I had a MS optical mouse that formed a bad wire connection somewhere, so I called them up, gave them the serial #, and they had a brand new, shrinked wrapped replacement at my door in a couple days. No cc# req. and they didn't even ask for the old one back.

They're also among the fastest at fulfilling rebates, I usually receive the check in 4 weeks or less.
