RWD- Pro - blast to drive. Con- Harder to drive in the snow.
FWD- Pro- Good in the snow. Con-Massive over-steer
AWD - Pro-Stability in all conditions. Easy to drive. Only idiotic mistakes will get you to spin. Con-No fun.

FWD also gets you some crazy torque-steer if you have a powerful engine. No fun around turns, kinda' scary. RWD's with some a good engine in front is FUUUUUN. Especially with a stick, fishtailing rocks;).

AWD is "no fun," but puts ALL your engines power to the ground when you mash the gas, and you don't have to worry about spinning your tires.

Sacotool,

No...I mean oversteer. Initially there is some understeer, but play with it more than you should, and you'll be facing the other direction less than a second.

I want a RWD car...Porsche 911 anyone?

Edit:

Bobtist,

I get crazy torque steer in my wimpy 1.5L DOHC 4-banger in my Mazda Protege. It's fun to push around twisties though. The '82 Volvo is even more fun. Nothing like the smell of burnt rubber to brighten your day:)

AWD is really fun if you have the right car!

My parents have an Audi A6 2.7Turbo that is AWD. Let me tell you something: That car is a blast to drive. It sticks to the road like you would not believe unless you iniate a spin on purpose. The handling of an AWD car cannot be beat. And, to be honest with all of you, I would much rather have a super-handling AWD car with talent I can use everyday as opposed to a super muscle car with RWD that has speed you can't use without getting tickets.

If you havn't guessed by now, AWD is, IMHO, the best thing to happen since cars since wheels. And engines too. ;)

Sorry SG, I'm with sacotool on this, nearly every consumer car made todya has massive understeer. That way pansy people driving wont overcompensate and spin, they'll just slide into things :) Torque steer isn't always a bad problem either. My Daytona with equal length axle shafts doesn't torque steer too bad for a car with say 250hp at the flywheel. Traction can be a problem though when I shove it to the floor...

Soybomb,

Might I interest you in this RWD supercar, aka the most docile supercar on the planet:

Too easy to be a supercar...right?

You fug up in this car, you don't deserve to drive. If you fug up in an AWD car...you just shouldn't be allowed to drive. You guys might like that bullet proof stability...and I do too when I'm tired...but I want to have fun when I drive for the most part. Give me a car with quirks and I'm set.

Another RWD. Not as docile as the first...but definitely one of the more sure footed super cars:
Me Spooges

You say you still want AWD? Don't make me do this to you:

Since no one but me likes the 550 Maranello...

This last car...is a GT car...meant for supreme stability

Oh oh...one more, I promise

Another GT Cruiser

And finally:
I'm so Evil.

Say you want AWD now:p

Hehe nice cars, too pricey for me hehe.
I didn't actually mention awd in my post. If all four of my wheels are turning it will be with the axles locked together in 4wd in my jeep :)

100% Soy-tastic:). I agree, you guys need to bring these types of conversations into the real world. I don't think anybody here will have $150k car... EVER. Sorry guys. Now let's talk about hotrods;)

Ok, I said I'm going to bed, and now I am. Night all.
