What's the acceleration for Logitech MX1000?

5.8 isnt a measure of acceleration. it's the megapixel. and the acceleration is >10G since the mx700 has a 10G accel.
 
Unfortunately, that rating is in megapixel/sec, without saying how many pictures it takes per second. So that really tells you absolutely nothing about the resolution of the motion-sensor. Totally meaningless spec. Same with the accelleration G's. I don't even understand how/why they print that. What's the point? The mouse doesn't have a solid-state accelerometer in it, does it?

I'd like to know the actual physical sensor resolution, the range of possible sensor update rates/scan freqs, the sensitivity to motion, and the logical device interface update rate and DPI resolution. Those are the real specs, the rest is just marketing.

How did you go from pixel and dots per inch to pictures per second? ...

If you divide 5.8 million by 800, you get 7250... but then the units would be pixels per dots per inch... or pixel inches per dot...
 
I think it probably means the following:

Pixel rate = 5.8 Mpixels/sec
Sensor resolution = 32x32 = 1024 pixels
Frame rate = 5,800,000 / 1024 = 5660 fps
