The song that is in the beginning of the scene where DMX first goes to Jamaica with Ox. As the car pulls it up and it says "kingston, jamaica". It's not that song "bam bam" by Sister Nancy and it's not the Sean Paul "here comes the boom" song...ANYBODY know?

So let me get this straight: The song you're looking for is sampled by Sean Paul in his song that goes "Here comes the boom"?

I can't seem to find a clip of One Step Ahead anywhere. Are you sure that's what it's called?

So it's a really rare Aretha Franklin song? How did you get it? Has it ever been on a CD?

Anxi...got it before you. song is actually called "bashment time" by mr. easy & frisco kid. that was then sampled by soundmurderer for a techno type remix, and by sean paul for his song "deport dem." However, the song used in the Belly scene in Jamaica is definetly "bashment time."

So Sean Paul sampled a song used in Belly for one of his albums, and a different song of his is also used in Belly?

Correct chucky, his song with dmx "here comes the boom" is in belly and he sampled the song "bashment time" by mr. easy, but that song wasn't MADE for the movie it was just an old jamaican riddim that the producers used in the movie.

I just heard a clip of that Bookshelf song, and it sure sounds like he sampled Bashment Time to me.
