what's that plastic for inside psus?

inside every psu I've opened up there's this sheet of clear bendable plastic. what's it for?

Probably to keep components from shorting out on the metal casing.

it doesn't ever seem to be in a particular orientation though. it's just this easily bendable peice of plastic that's only secured on one side
