what's that one file that IE looks at to reroute?

There's a file in windows that IE automatically looks at to reroute. I think its like index.dat or something?

loooks something like this:

www.yahoo.com 127.0.0.0
etc. etc.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

The file is hosts. No extension.

Not IE, but just about anything that uses dns. It's system32\etc\drivers\hosts or something like that. And the domain name and ip address go in the opposite order

It's better to use 0.0.0.0, especially if you run your own webserver.
