I hope somebody can help me here - a few weeks ago I grabbed a sweet audiogalaxy client that had more features than the official audiogalaxy client had and also was free of the lovely spyware that AG decides that maybe we would like to have along with their software.

...Too bad I had to reformat and now can't remember the name of that app anymore...

If anybody can help me I'd really appreciate it!

seems to be working, the speed of the download is FAST, as expected with audiogalaxy.. the only thing I can complain about is the built in browser, its slow.

But I LOVE this program, only fault is that you have to install some odbc driver to make it work... but it works.. and its THE BEST MUSIC SHARE EVER 😀😀

edit.. the builtin browser is fast now, must have just been their page

Bump!
Heck if you find one I really would love to know it. I recently switched from Morpheus to AudioGalaxy and just love it!

Wasnt there some privacy issue with audiogalaxy a few weeks ago?

The software includes a keystroke-logging system called Sputnik that records all keystrokes entered and transmits them to the advertising site behind this program, VX2. This may include passwords, logons, email, credit-card information, and anything else entered using the keyboard - even on Secured sites such as your bank.

VX2's privacy policy on their site says: "VX2's software collects some information from online forms that you fill out. This information is automatically sent to VX2 in order to save you the time and trouble of submitting such information to us yourself."

NOTE: audiogalaxy is not the only program to include the Sputnik data-logger. Do not download shareware files from the net, as you may be giving away a lot more than you know.

Czar does that install over audiogalaxy or what? Do I need to have audiogalaxy installed before I install that?

Alienwho,
I didnt have audiogalaxy installed, I just first installed the odbc drivers and then the program and it works 🙂

Props on this client, this is great. I put like 5 songs on that "download list" feature, went to the bathroom and came back and it was almost finished downloading all 5!

billgates380: Is the program ddjkdg found on google the one you were talking about?
BTW, so this AGStreme program, does it have any spyware? I was unable to find any information on the website about not having spyware included in their software...

APHEXII

Hey guys, yes this is EXACTLY what I was talking about!! I'm glad you guys like it - don't ask me where I found it, but my google searches weren't finding anything...weird. Anyway, I definitely like the program, and I'm proud to present another awesome feature to go along with this app:

This site is fantastic!!

I found this site last night - it actually finds complete full albums on AudioGalaxy!! Just have the AG client running, search for any album, and it will display all of the tracks from the disc, find the AG ID numbers for them, and automatically queue them up in your AGStreme program. VERY sweet!!

CDNow.com is a good companion to find the names of CD's you want and for exact track listings.

Enjoy!
