What's stopping you?

Always was curious. Why can't you call up your local pizza place and send over a pizza to someone as a prank/joke? I don't see how they could "stop you...". Just always was wondering.

Well they now use caller ID to check your phone numbers and verify your phone number matches the address you are ordering the pizza to. Now, Im sure it can still be done - but it is more difficult now.

Why would you want to? That's a weak prank.

I'm not saying I would want to. Just every time I order a pizza, I always think of how easy it would be for someone to do that...

stop thinking. or ordering pizza. or both.

Actually, at a couple of the pizza places I go to, you have to recite the number for verification or something like that.

They ask you your phone number when you order the pizza anyway, and input it in the machine. Although I suppose you could tell them your neighbors phone #. Like I said, its not impossible, just slightly more difficult now.
