if you just oging ot oc dont get the omega drivers get the

Rage 3d Tweak 3.9

Thats all you need for tweaking and Overclocking....not any new drivers....

I wonder why they trying to push omega drivers on you...

for stability I would use 3dmark 2003... its a free download from http://www.futuremark.com/

first increase your core and run 3dmark (i went by 10mhz) if you see no artifacts then move up 10 more mhz (its a long process but the demo stresses your video card pretty well)

when you see artifacts back off 5mhz and try again, no artifacts go up 2mhz ... till you got the highest speed you can run the demo at with no artifacting...

do tyhe same with the memory, but realize that the memory will not go very high... I would go to 320mhz and then by 5mhz using the same technique...

my results are 369/330 (stable, no artifacts) with water-cooling (core only) on a revision 1.0 card you milage will vary depending on the memory on your card, and your cooling setup on your case...

artifact test sucks like crazy. it only tests dx7. Which means some features of the card go unused. on my radeon 9000 pro, artifact tester detected no artifacts at 350mhz core. So i kept it there, i went into c&c generals 2 seconds later artifacts like crazy. I go into 3dmark 01 artifacts as soon as it gets to nature test, then 3dmark o3, artifacts in second game. So you must test the dx version your card uses and you must test all of it's features at an oc before you say it is stable. my gpu is only stable at 320mhz core, not 350 like artifact tester said. the best way to test for stability is 3dmakr 01 looped then 03.

When you test for stability, lockup = too much core speed, artifacts = too much mem speed.

I do believe that you also get artifacts when your core gets high... (i got some around 375ish)...
