What's sooo bad about Gigli?

Just watched it. It wasn't that horrible of a movie. It wasn't great but had its humorous moments. So, why was it slaughtered so bad? Anyone?

Many critics panned it.
Some critics have the herd mentality. If one major critic pans it, they must follow.
Late night shows (which have a pulse on 18-49 age group),
constantly ridiculed it before it was even released and continued to do so after the first week.

Audiences didn't watch it because of the insane amount of
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck media coverage and got sick of their image being thrown at them.

So it was sort of a concerted effort by all that did the movie in.

I also saw the movie. It certainly wasn't Kung Pow: Enter the Fist.
I'll be pissed if the same thing happens to Jersey Girl. Kevin Smith's career must not be ruined.
