Whats some must have softwar/apps for laptops?

Just got my laptop about a week ago. Just wondering if there is any good or must have software/apps that are good for laptops.

I already have Centrino hardware control
Which is an awesome program, I am sure there must be at leasta few more cool programs for laptop users.

Laptop specific, that's about it. What else does a laptop need?

If there's a network connections wizard kind of thing that will allow users to select different connection profiles (ie for diff wireless AP's and such), that would be hot; but IBM makes their own and I've only seen a couple others here and there
