yellowperil, Kind of Blue is a landmark jazz album, but I'd hardly call it romantic. The reason it's so phenomenal was because no one had ever done that "music by chance" bit before. They just started some chord changes, throw in a real simple melody, and "jam" for 10 minutes or so. Every jazz musician on the planet has stolen some licks from that album.
I would check out a chart called "Frustration." Nice little barry sax feature, nothing sexier than that.
