I have seen some many people sack riding this movie, is it really that good? From the commercials it looked like that lame ass Reno 911 show.
 
Did you watch the movie? Also, did you like Shawn of the Dead? It's similar kind of humour applied to the police buddy movie genre. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
 
The commercials didn't do the movie justice. The comedy is very fast paced and witty.

You're just gonna have to see it for yourself; it's definitely worth it.
 
Did you see Shaun of the Dead? Hot Fuzz is by the same guys. It's much better than Reno 911. The first part is a bit slow. If you like British humor you'll likely still be entertained. Then it starts kicking ass. The ass-kicking is somewhat silly, but ass-kicking nonetheless.

I thought the movie was really good. I never saw Shawn of the Dead so I didn't really have anything to base it off of. The humor is actually funny and the characters for all the parts are great. I think it's worth seeing at least once.

I didn't like it at all. But then again, i don't like British humour (i didn't like Shaun of the Dead either).
 
I guess I should watch it. I didnt find Shaun all that funny, but hopefully im in a different mood. I sometimes just dont understand british humor.
 
are we talking about the one at the front of the movie rental place..

or the one in the back room with the bead curtain and the sign that says adults only....you know the one where ATOT relationship's forum host its the get togethers.

If you're thinking Hot Fuzz is like your normal police buddy movie, you're off base.

I liked Hot Fuzz. See it, or don't see it. I don't care.
 
Did you sea Shaun of the Dead? It has the same kind of rock salt.

It starts a little slowly, but has some good deadpan and silly humor throughout until the finale which both spoofs and is decent homage to Leathal Weapon, Die Hard, etc.

It isn't the movie of the year but it was a fun rental for me.

I enjoyed the first half myself. I did not mean to imply that "a bit slow" = "boring" or "bad." It was just quite different than the ending parts, which were non-stop action. 🙂

Edit: Reno 911!!!! Should I finally watch the Titanic, or is it like Reno 911? 😛
 
Im about half way through watching it now. I must say, like mentioned before, the camera work is amazing.
