What's So Great About Amex Blue?

I just got my first Amex, a Blue card. I love Amex because on my mom's card if you see something wrong on the bill they take it off no questions asked. But I'm wondering what's so great about this Blue card. What are the security features and that weird chip like thing on the left side?

you have to agree it is one of the best-looking card though. even the student ones look nice.

and advantages... the blue cash gives you cash back. the online card center is quite easy to use.

otherwise i don't really find anything good about it. the funny thing is that when i was trying to get a credit card, amex approved the student card for me while discover and bankone didn't.

oh well sucks for them. im never getting a card from them now that my credit is better.

It used to have a price protection policy on online purchases. That no longer exists, however.

i like it because of its 7.99% fixed rate. it's the lowest APR i have on my cards even though i have yet to carry a balance that uses it. i guess its just peace of mind.

blue also has additional 1 yr warranty on the products you buy..

When i first got it back in like 99 there was a couple years where every single time I used it at a store the clerk was all like "wow..." and turning it side to side to see the reflections in the light. I dont even use it anymore though.
