I haven't had a chance to try it yet but i was wondering what freehand has that flash does not. cuz both are vector based graphic programs and flash actually has much deeper capabilities. so i was wonderin what freehand has thats so..spiffy.

You've brought up a good point. Although I don't have extensive experience with Freehand, I did realize that Macromedia just shipped version 10 of this application with their new "MX" Studio software. Given the fact of its weaker vector capabilities, I wonder if Macromedia is just going to eliminate this product from their lineup - and leave everything to the Flash arena for handling the vector work.

They aren't supposed to be compareable.. I think freehand is the equiv of illustrator as far as drafting high quality vector art goes...

"Equivelant" is far too generous a term for freehand. Illustrator is much better.

Freehand is designed for printing, Flash is designed for the web.

both can do what the other is designed to do but they do a very shitty job at it
