Proc: Intel 2.8C at 3.0
RAM: 512 OCZ EL PE
HDD: Hitachi 80Gb SATA
Vid: 9800pro (the one w/ the XT core but not as much ram)

Im thinking either another stick of ram for dual channel or a raptor. Im t hinking of buying a used 36 gig since i know i wont need the larger size

Last I checked the 36 GB was slower and louder than the 74 GB.

What do you do with your PC? The extra 512 MB would make more difference in games than the Raptor.

I play some games and I also tend to do alot of multitasking. I find that when i have more than one torrent open and maybe photoshop and maybe opera my ram is close to maxing so i think an extra stick will be useful. Now that i think about it the ram is probably the better bet.

Another vote for for another stick of 512 RAM.

I do a lot of video editing and theRAM makes a big difference.

Get the RAM, forget the Raptor.

The speed increase from the Raptor is not worth the money when you already have something that's reasonably quick.

I'd say RAM too, and repeat what they say about the 1st gen Raptor, it's not a lot faster. The 2nd gen is, but not the 1st gen. I didn't need 74gb of space either, but I got the 2nd gen for the performance.
