What's our generation's claim to fame?

The 70's where the generation that was out to change the world, free love, etc. WWI era was The Lost Generation. I don't know any others in between.

What distinguishes people who are currently 24-34 years old, if anything?

I cant believe no one has said this yet.

MySpace...? As sad as it is.

fake edit: oops, I read the OP. 24-34 y/os, probably not gonna be myspace.

Yeah, I'd definitely call the NEXT generation the Myspace generation.

raves, ecstacy, etc is the only music/youth-culture we can really claim

good enough for me 🙂

That wasn't pervasive enough. I mean, something people in 2022, will look back on 1990's and early 2000's and immediately think of.

Ecstasy has been around for a while.

Raves, electronic dance music, and the resulting ecstacy craze definately fit in his timeline. Very late 80s to 90s.

Wasn't MDMA originally made as a weight loss pill?... it does that too.

I think a few generations from now, people may look back and just wonder wth was wrong with our era...

You'd think that after having witnessed the 20th century (or at least a part of it), we would be better than to perpetuate silly things like pointless wars, and genocides, but we're just getting more efficient at them 🙁

So ya, our generation: endless wars.
