Welfare. It pwns j00!

Yeah, has to change

want to elaborate on it?

Current system does not work in rehabilitating the poor. On one hand you have the people who abuse the system and stay under welfare their whole lives, and on the other you have those who are trying to get out of it, but can't since they're kicked out of government housing as soon as they get a job.

a girl who works with me just got pregnant *specifically* so she could get more govt aid; because she married a bum of a loser who barely works if at all.

get rid of - welfare, illeagle aliens, all low-income programs,

if they can't make enough to survive thats thier own damn problem we shouldn't have to support the lazy

Give welfare to the families who really need it. Those families with a single parent, where the parent is actually working, but can't seem to get by on what they make. I think welfare would be a good thing, if they stopped handing it out to people who don't have jobs and just have babies for a monthly check. Some families do deserve a little help, and I have no problem with them getting it.

Falloutboy will agree with this

Heres a commentary piece on the flu-vaccine

http://www.heritage.org/Press/Commentary/ed102204a.cfm

Over the past 15 years, the government has become the biggest purchaser of flu shots. That explains a lot.

When the government becomes the major buyer of any product, it has the opportunity to negotiate price. ?Negotiate,? however, is just a nice way to describe what happens. Inevitably, the government strong-arms companies into accepting the lowest possible price -- far less than they would be able to charge in a more diverse marketplace.

Suggests that the whole flu shot fvckup was CAUSED by the government interfering with the free market. Goverment run entities are going to be more expensive, wasteful, and less efficient. That is the nature of beauracracy and history substantiates this.

If I'm allowed to make 1 constitutional ammendment, it would be "... a person is solely and absolutely responsible for their own actions..."

Ok, here's my essay...while writing the second paragraph, i got pissed off so it kind of sounds really biased 😛:

Something I would reform in today?s government and society is healthcare. If schools are governmentally run, then why isn?t healthcare? This year, we had a vast shortage of flu vaccines. Because healthcare is a private entity here, we were the only country with such a shortage. We?re leaving public healthcare decisions up to the free market. Even thought America is all about free market, there isn?t even a huge profit there to make from vaccines, so I think that healthcare decisions should be for the most part, (if not completely) up to the government, rather than free market.
Another thing I would change is the judicial system. I think that Americans are allowed to sue anybody too easily. Suing someone in court should not be as easy as if you pricked your finger on a tooth-pick, you sue the tooth-pick manufacturer. In that sense, Americans have no responsibility for their own actions. Court cases have been made for the most ridiculous reasons, and the plaintiffs have won for the most part. I believe that this system which they say has to completely follow the books is ridiculous, and someone has to change those books. If many of those stupid and pointless court cases were simply turned down, then the government would not be in such deficit of funds. These lawyers are getting paid to dispute cases where people are careless enough to spill their freshly brewed hot coffee on themselves, and then go on complaining and suing everybody claiming the coffee was hot. News flash: It?s coffee; Fresh coffee is hot unless it?s iced coffee.

I hope this isn't supposed to be a serious essay, because this is terrible.

You are all over the place, it pretty much sounds like banter without any specific point to prove, jumping from one thought to another. It's also filled with more personal opinion than with sound reasoning.

I would change the electoral system that we use (first past the post) and implement a proportional representation system, to break up the two-party structure.

Here's a post I made in P&N a couple months ago on it, with some Wikipedia links if you're interested in writing about it: Text

I'd shrink the government. Cut the fat, privatize many tasks, etc. Use the saved money each year to pay off the debt, fix social security, and lower taxes. I'd also remove the retirement packages that many gov't officials get and make them live on social security like the 'typical' USA citizen.

I'd say legal system. Fix that, and eventually, all our other problems can be fixed.

especially all the dumbass jury picks. Basically say you're anything but a gullible idiot who'll listen to any kind of persuasive stupid argument and you'll be kicked out.
