i was at an acquaintance's place. he threw a party.

around midnight, there were like a hundred people. it was getting kinda out of hand.

i go look for host to thank him b4 leaving.

I find him in the backyard with some people passing around a joint. i was offered one. i turned it down since i have never even smoked a cigarette.

then i was offered some little pills that were suppose to be Xcasy. i turned that down as well, but the host said he took some and it's safe. at that point i left.

but that got me thinking... what are some of the 'safer' illegal drugs?

Ecstasy ain't bad if used smartly. People think it vaporizes your brain or something but that's because there's a lot of misinformation around. I'd suggest you do some reading yourself and read experiences (Erowid)... hard to get a good discussion about drugs here.

MJ is fairly safe, no real studies showing long term effects, but I wouldn't smoke too much of it if I was you...

Ecstacy is just plain BAD for you. I read an article showing that even infrequent usage can cause change in brain functions for the worse.

In conclusion, don't do drugs *the more you know*

lame rule.

short answer is that no illegal drug can be gauranteed safe. The fact that it is illegal means there are no quality controls, purity standards and they can contain whatever the dealer decided to put in it. however no dealer is going to sell KB and lace it with something. Pretty much any natural drugs will be unadulterated, but again it can't be garaunteed.

side note: extacy is about one of the least safe due to the fact that it is often not pure. and even if pure, overdosing like with any drug, can still happen.

"JEDI" huh?
Were you, like, "You don't want to give me those deathsticks" in your head as you were turning down the joint?

I've tried pot twice and never really got anything out of it (yes i did inhale). Other than that just do some research online and see what falls in your bounds of tolerable safety.

Ever hear of a guy ODing on marijuana?

I know some girls who like to trip on painkillers and they claim 'it is safe if you know what you are doing' but I think they are just retarded.

DaTT: I know a dude who's about 32-33 years old. I don't know how long he has been doing LSD (I can imagine for quite some time) but trust me, even when he's sober, 1 minute is all it takes for perfect strangers to comment, "Say, is that dude alright?"

His close friends claim he his having serious issues with his memory and general coherence. For reference, we call him Leo, as in the hippie dude from That 70s Show :p

It's hard to do a study on pot heads.

Personal observation is all I need. Pot + long term (which means even short term_ = bad.

now, you have to ask yourself. how can he know he is having issues with memory? because, if you believe you have issues with memory, you have to know that you are forgetting something. if you know what you are forgetting, then you didn't forget it :p, thus no memory problem.

However, if you had memory problems, then you wouldn't know you forgot anything (because you would have forgotten it) and then wouldn't think you had a memory problem.

SO, if you think you have a memory problem, you don't, but if you don't think you have a memory problem, you just might.

Pot, aside from the fact that the smoke is inhaled like an unfiltered cigarette, is considered pretty "safe."

As for everything else, leave it alone, especially "manufactured" stuff. Basically, if it's made in a "lab" by a dealer, don't put it in you.

Just don't.

This would include meth (or "speed," in the olden days), LSD, and Ecstasy, and probably a dozen others I've never heard of.
