It's not bad. I'm on page 200ish and have about 2 days until school starts....I hate reading under pressure.
Haven't read anything else by Steinbeck.

Sun Tzu and Stephen Hawking are both awesome books. Haven't read any Nietzsche...yet. ;)

dinner at the homesick restaurant was a GREAT book. but of course..i wasn't a big fan of grapes of wrath so don't listen to me :p

my reading list is super long but i'll just type a few of the top books i want to read: the bell jar, the foundation series, ash wednesday, and catch 22 (agh i still can't believe i haven't read this book!!)

I read it, I thought it was pretty good:) Wasn't too hard to read either, went pretty fast.

just finished the godfather (finally got around to it, and i wish it hadn't taken so long! incredible book!), and how to lose friends and alienate people by toby young. it was cute.

Oh, just finished "In Dubious Battle", John Steinbeck... I remember now why I enjoy his writing.

Damn, you guys are making me feel stupid. When I read, it's for escapism and entertainment, not intellectual enlightenment! Give me a good scifi trilogy anyday..

Nothing wrong with reading fiction at all - there's some real enlightenment to be found from fiction. I think I'd gain a better appreciation for socialist policies by reading Steinbeck than I would by reading Marx.
