What's On The Horizon?

Pardon me, but I've been displaced from the world of PC Hardware for the past couple months. My PC (see the link in my sig) was lost by UPS and I had to get a quick, cheap replacement. Well, UPS finally admitted that they lost the package and now I'm gonna be getting my claim check soon (hopefully) for $2100. So I'm going to be needing a new power rig.

I know that the newest and hottest chipset seems to be the VIA KT266A. I know Epox is pushing a board of it out soon, who else? I must admit that I'm partial to Epox (my old rig and this quick replacement I'm on used a 8K7A and 8KTA3 respectively). The Athlon XP is coming out soon as well? How's the SB Audigy? Or should I stick to the Herc GTXP? Have IBM 60GXP's been dying on people like the 75s did? I'm assuming Crucial DDR RAM is still the best for the buck, and nothing much has changed in the video card market. Is a new update to the GeForce3 coming out soon? If so, will the prices of existing GF3 units out there drop?

A new GF3 is comin out sometime (the titanium), tho I dont know when. However, consider the new Radeon 8500.

60GXPs seem to be pretty reliable so far.

Crucial is still king.

Athlon XP should come out by next month...I hope. Might want to consider a p4 solution once it goes .13 micron...they look promising, at least in terms of clock speed.

Audigy seems to be the new king...although GTXP wouldnt be a bad choice either
