whats next for ati?

does anybody know for sure what ati is going to do for its next line of video cards? ive heard two things: sli for ati or dual gpu on a single pcb. personally, id prefer the latter, as long as it can do what nvidias sli rigs can do, but i think that would be hard, since nvidia now has 512mb cards. that would mean that ati would have to have 1gb of ram on a single card. and if that happens, im not so sure that it would be any cheaper than nvidias sli rigs cost. is there not end!?!?!?

We dont know any solid details of the next gen cards at the moment.

But nVidia hasnt released any 512Mb on their cards. The Vendors like XFX have released it. Just like Gigabyte released a 2x6600GT core on one PCB, nVidia didnt have any role to play in it. Its just nVidia gives vendors a wide birth to do what they wont with their cards, unless it conflicts with any of the other products.
