What's New Feature

Is there a way to filter out, remove, specific forums from the "What's New" feature at the top of the page? I'm looking for a quick scan of everything NOT P&N and ATOT. As you may be aware, their activity pushes out the other forums and I was wondering if I could make proper use of this feature for Tech posts only?

I'm guessing there probably isn't.

There are a number of problems with the current implementation of that feature/interface, IMO.

1. That little self-hiding menu isn't very useful with only those two links. The older, much simpler navigation bar was handier, because it had multiple useful links and it was always on screen.

2. A link directly to New Posts would be more valuable. Nobody really cares about new posts to anyone's user profile. The New Posts page gives you a lot more thread updates on its first page than the What's New page.

3. Those New Posts and What's New pages are badly broken. If they displayed the forum name for each of the new posts, it would make sifting through it much easier.

I'm pretty sure the Default style doesn't have these problems.
