I posted this problem Here and since then have removed my pci 2 usb card. its not happening as often and its now showing me the blue screen i suppose may have been happening all along.

the error message was to effect this

Stop: 0x0000008E (0x80000003, 0xBFBA5108, 0xF49efa64, 0x00000000)

nv4_disp.dll - Add BFBA5108 base at BF9B8000, 3cd2e342

now what this means to me is .... problem with nvidia card or drivers... aside from that ... i get nothing

now i have tried all the latest driver, older drivers, Versions of windows, all the troubleshooting i can think of and swapped everything as stated in the other post.

Any and i do mean any advice i can be given to stop this from continuing would be very much so appreceated.

Thanks

Well, with no link to your other post, it's hard to help.

Have you tried swapping your video card althogether with another one (either PCI, AGP, same brand or different brand...) ?

I had the same error with an Asus A7N266-VM. I had been letting "Windows Update" update all the drivers. When I went to Asus and D/L the newest drivers it went backward, but fixed the problem. My video driver went from 29?? to 2720. I think my problem was related to the fact that windows just saw a Nvidia video card so updated those drivers, when the integrated video might have different drivers...but this is just a theory.

The DLL error does not mean it is a driver error.
It just means something affected that driver which caused it to stop.

There are alot of reasons the error could occur.

Ram setting to low. Ram setting to high. Which may or may not require a Bios update.
AGP port under powered.
VIA chipset based motherboards are more critical with correct voltage settings then Intel or SIS.
But it can occur in all of them.

What motherboard/system do you have?
What type of CPU? Is it overclocked (that you know of)?
What type of RAM (Mfg)?
What video card are you using?

I think with these answers we should be able to help you pinpoint the problem easier.

You are having the infamous "infinte loop" error, here is a resource page for the issue link it has links to many sites covering different chipset makers, ect... and potential resolutions for it. However, there is no sure fix and some just can't get rid of it evidently. Anyways, good luck :)
