What's my best option for setting up an IDE Raid 1?

So I got in on one of the better HD deals lately, scoring 2 120gb Maxtors that I plan to set up in a raid 1 in a new machine for my dad. The problem is that all the mobo's I'm considering (Asus P4P800, P4S800, and abit counterparts) have only SATA raid controllers. I can, of course, buy adapters to run my IDE drives on the serial controllers, but for the cost of two adapters, I could also get a standalone PCI IDE Raid controller. Is there an advantage to one or the other?

My experience has been that the adapters are a hassle, so I would suggest going with an IDE RAID card or go with a motherboard that has onboard IDE RAID like the ASUS P4P800 Deluxe. I think it is only running $25 more than the non-deluxe version.

I guess I was misreading the P4P800 deluxe specs, as I thought it only had SATA raid as well...Upon following the Asus link, though I saw that you are indeed right, Nelson. Thanks for the info! This saves me from a huge headache :)
