Whats my best internet sharing option?

OK ...im finally fed-up with this 1 mbs phoneline network (and the wingate dropout problems ive had for a year now) ..Im trashing the whole phoneline network and installing a real 10/100 with hub. Now my question is what would be the best internet sharing software ,the second computer is used mostly for online gameing and some internet surfing etc. I have thought about Sygate or Winproxy.. any ideas ?

I've used sygate and it worked ok, less experience with winproxy though. Did you get the hub yet? If not I would say get a dsl router with a 10/100 switch in it, should only be about 100 dollars or so no, long term its way less hassle than always making sure the one pc is up with 2 nics, plus a 100 Mbs network will feel so much faster transferring files vs that phoneline one you have now.

Well I would have said WinGate, but since you already don't like that I'm not sure what to tell you.

Personally I've installed WinGate at tons of libraries, schools, offices, and had no problems at all. It really is a powerful program if you can take the time to learn all the different features. I admit though that it seems like a tempermental program at first, but once you learn how to set it up properly it doesn't cause any problems.
