Hey all, i am planning on getting one of the following...

1700+ along with a SLK-800(a) + Fan comes to around $95 shipped...

Now would a 2400+ Retail HSF/ or my SK-6 be a better bet?

I know that if im lucky i can run that 1700+ well over 2ghz and ill be running at least a 200fsb so performance will be up there...

Should i just got with the 2400+ or 2500+ and just try to squeeze a little bit out of it with my SK-6 or retail HSF?

Thanks!

i will never understand people who spend $50 on a HSF or something, or spend $20 for a "guaranteed" OCable TB

just get a speeze or something like that HSF from newegg. it's like $8 and very good comments on it.

go search by "most reviewed"

my 2 yens

good luck

Well i can understand it if it's going to be bringing a shot at better performance (overclock) ...

I am up in the air between the two though...

If you're planning on running 200 fsb, you must have a board able to run the retail 2500 barton for $90 shipped from Newegg?

You can have a 333FSB Barton, or if its a 400mhz FSB you just need to have some quality PC3200...
