I've had this laptop for a long time now, i figure its about time to move on. I'm just curious what to expect to get for it to put towards a new laptop?

Dell C800
15" 1400x1050 not a SINGLE DEAD PIXEL
850mhz P-M
512megs of ram
brand new 30gig IBM 5400RPM hard drive
DVD drive
two batteries
Windows 2000 OEM serial and CD as well as Windows XP Pro retail

the only issue is pictured in picture number 9. the headphone jack got snapped off awhile ago,i took the laptop completely apart, re-soldered the jack back on,and since it was cracked i needed to pack the area around it with hot glue to make sure it never came off again. the jack has worked perfectly ever since, its just not very pretty to look at.

also,do you think its worth more parted out on e-bay?

i could probably get $150 for the LCD on e-bay, $60 for the hard drive, $30 for the ram. hhmmmm,i dunno...

300 - 400 bucks maybe?

i mean a lot of laptops out there are still being sold new with only 256megs of ram, u got 512 so thats definately a trait i would look for

dell are a reputable make, u got 2 batteries which is also good,

a 850mhz is more than enough for a business user i think, that screen has a very nice res and th HDD is much faster than some u buy new (4200rpm suks)

u should have no trouble selling......but i think around the 300-400 mark
