What's hot for a x850pro?

So I just got my x850 pro and it's working nicely. I'd like to know how accurate ati tool is at detecting temperature. At idle it's 52C and load was 80 C. But after playing Quake 4 for a while I felt the card to see how it was doing... the thing was really hot. I mean if my hand was on it for 5 seconds or so it probably would have burned it. Is that normal or is ati tool lying to me about my temp?

I'm not overclocking because the one time I did I got artifacts after a good hour of playing.

I've used ATItool in the summer months on my X850PE. It's a bit of a mixed bag... the added fan options are required but sometimes the program causes input lag in games. I only use it when it's hot basically. If you have crashing and artifacts then fire up ATItool, if not then don't worry about the temps. Mine is quite happy operating at 90C.

my card never got over 80 before usually under 53 load most of the time with ATI Tool Tray. Something wrong with your card or you use old version of ATT?

Nothing is wrong with my card. It's clocked a bit faster than a Pro I think, but that's about it. I use the latest version of ATItool, version 0.25, not 0.24 that's linked on the main site. All versions of ATI tool that I've used have the keyboard input lag issue.
