What's harder? Being physically tired or mentally tired?

Personally, I think mentally.

But if your job is pushing boulders up and down a mountain, I imagine physical exhaustion is worse.

I'm rarely ever physically tired compared to mentally tired. If I stay up for 20 hours each day for a day or two, I'll be mentally tired. That's more common for me than say jogging 2-3 miles or something.

Depends on what you're trying to do that the exhaustion is impeding. Are you trying to do calculus? Being mentally exhausted is harder. Are you trying to run a marathon? Being physically exhausted is harder.

Since I'm not much of an athlete usually, I tend to mentally exhausted a lot more than physically. I eat like crap, don't sleep much, and more often than not I'm pushing myself pretty hard in my work.

Sitting down is great relief from physical exhaustion, but does very little for mental exhaustion.

Take half of my classes today. I could have been physically bagged and made it through no problem, but because I was tired all day I fell asleep in most of them.

I used to think it was Physical (during high school and earlier) .... but as the years go on I think that being mentally tired is much worse!
