Maybe we can combine a wall with a casino. Video the people trying to make make it over and take bets...

Think of running man meets idiocracy

Trump wall and casino... And there will not be any conflict of interest..

Of course he does. He can't help it that his casinos were the only ones going bankrupt at that time in Atlantic City. It was a conspiracy, after all.
His problem was that the Russians moved to Brighton Beach and not Atlantic City

Okay, I'm confused. What happened to "Mexico is going to pay for the wall"?

Trump's budget director says the Democrats need to vote for paying for the wall if they want to keep the government running.

https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/...promise-on-trump-budget-demands-mulvaney-says

So I guess the coal miners in Pennsylvania are going to be paying for the wall with the jobs that Trump is going to make up for them. This is what prosperity under the Trump administration will look like. Reagan had the Laffer Curve; Trump is just inhaling laughing gas.

Why do we need to fund it in the federal budget? Why don't Trump supporters put up the money, supplies and volunteer labor to build this wall? Free market solution. I am even OK with turning over whatever check Mexico sends for the wall to them as reward.

The argument of 'if you want to support the government, send a check' only applies when conservatives are complaining about aiding the American poor, not building a useless wall to keep out brown people.

Either way it is a terrible argument.

If you really believe that Mexico will pay for the wall, you should have no problem self funding it in exchange for that promising revenue stream. Just like conservatives want to privatize public infrastructure, they can privatize the wall.

This wall that Trump is wailing for, it's obvious that this anticipated monument to his legacy that he wants so badly has got little to do with actually keeping illegals out and much more to do with an object, a symbolic thing that Trump can point to every single time he feels the need to rile up his base of "patriots and other concerned citizens". It will be a grand fixture with its value measured in votes rather than the actual drop in illegal border crossings it will hardly ever have an effect on.

And Trump is making us taxpayers pay for it, just so he can gather in his flock of sheep, make them "feel more safe and secure" as he bribes them with empty promises and soothing lies AGAIN, as if that mattered to his supporters.

And here's the kicker that has Trump giggling like a little school girl every time he thinks about it: While he's making us pay for his wall, he's also making us pay for the tax cuts and other well hidden and buried financially beneficial instruments he and his ilk are going to gift themselves with, along with all of the other perks and benefits they will bless themselves with via deregulating Big Pharma, Big Oil, Wall St., Too Big to Fail Banks. And let's not forget how he is going to make peace with Russia in order to cut himself in on the deal between ExxonMobil and Rosneft.

The Wall? Chump change being turned into a political gold mine with a re-election payoff worth $Billions$.

And Trump is having us pay for it all without cent #1 coming out of his pocket.

This is an idiotic deal. Who would ever take that? Why is it even on the table?

Trump is offering Dems the chance to:

-Look dysfunctional by shutting down a govt he has complete control of
-Make a broken promise and waste of money a front and center issue
-Be left with no choice other than look weak, cave, and/or get blamed for sabotaging healthcare, which is another broken promise he is already fucking up badly

What's next? Threaten to release naked photos of Ivanka he took himself?

So... Trump's Gambit has utterly failed.

Just announced he is caving on the "not funding the Obamacare subsidies" demand in exchange for Wall. He had previously backed down on the Wall downpayment earlier this week.
