I live alone and eat out all the time and I found that you really cant find anything really healthy that tastes good.
Im sick of subway and Togo's. Need more ideas on what to get and how to prepare it. I think that a lot of people may benefit from this info.

Im open to any suggestions and need a little variety in food but please be specific. If you say chicken then also let me know if its baked or steam or whatever.
Thanks,

Zoiks

I love fresh veggies. I go to the supermarket and pick up carrots, radishes, cucumbers, fresh green beans and snack on them. As for healthly take-out, that's tough to find.

Nothing. What you want doesn't exist. If you want good food it will be unhealthy. If you want healthy food it will taste like fresh cut grass. Take your pick.

I dont agree that healthy food can't taste good. I like indian food but its full of grease and oil which isnt really healthy.

No, healthy food can taste quite good. You must be an amateur. With proper prepping and cooking veggies/pasta/rice/etc. are amazingly good!

Get a cookbook. 😛

Salads are healthy and easy . . . just wash the greens and have salad dressings ready.

Pasta and sauces are easy and relatively healthy.

Baking potatoes are easy . . . as are steaming vegetables.

Fruit requires no preparation except washing and makes for superb healthy and tasty snacks.

Follow the US Government food suggestions - i.e. the food "pyramid".

Pasta, my mom found so many good types of pastas...

whole wheat pasta, yes. the stuff you find at a regular grocery store is almost all refined carbs.

And on the Ricey side, brown over white. Brown is nutrionally superior. Just wish it didn't take so long to cook vs white.

water: tastes good when thirsty, good for you, and it does fill you up too ^^ not much in the way of proteins and such tho... hey, fat free 😀
