CNN would call this an "insurrection". There are rules, don't break them.

But a black guy (D)calls and Indian (R) guy "brown face" and nothing is said. Black guy cries out racism. Racism is ok, when the left does it.

Silence on the media and police from the manifesto of the shooter. Same from the guy/girl who got arrested in Colorado Springs who wanted to do the same thing, Media blackout.

what is this sociopath blabbering about?

BREAKING: A Shelby County commissioner told @FOX13Memphis on Friday that Nashville leaders are threatening to take away funding from Memphis and other Shelby County projects if the county commission decides to reinstate expelled

If anyone believed claims that Nashville leaders actions were not meant to be racist, we now we have the proof positive they were indeed acting racist. When they threaten to take away funding, that is indeed a racist act.
Supposedly, Monday is the deciding day to reinstate the two ousted members. To reinstate is what SHOULD happen, but this is Tennessee after all, the KKK capital of the world. So the two men could either be reinstated, not reinstated, or simply lynched. Any guesses???

Tennessee Republicans: Hey, we’re not all racist white people!!

(Expels two black men, leaves the white woman)

Tennessee Republicans: Uh, well, at least we’re not sexist!

(Explains that they let her stay because she "wasn't as loud")

Tennessee Republicans: OK, fuck you all, we are what we are.

The Republicans made these people martyrs and gave them a national stage to get their voices heard and elevated them politically with their little anti-Democratic tyranny of the majority stunt. I'm expecting they’ll drag their feet scheduling special elections to fill their terms because, of course they will.

And Nashville Metro Council votes to reappoint Justin Jones to the Tennessee House of Representatives.

Now we'll have to wait and see if the House gets all vindictive and punishes them as they promised.

Looks like the Republicans backed down. They are now saying they welcome him back.

Looks like they finally wised up and realized what a massive mistake this was.

Mea culpa my ass. Fuck them. The expulsions never should have happened in the first place and they know it. The only reason they're apologizing for it is because of how fucked they know they could be. And I hope that comes to pass.

Sadly voters won’t remember and vote them out next election.
People especially when they are older tend to stay with their feelings even if proven wrong. People in this forum still can't bring themselves to admit the Tennessee Republicans as a Party who voted out the 2 black legislators while leaving the white woman are racist.

You can find a black man hanging from a tree with those Republicans looking on and it still wouldn't be enough.

I'm sure some are and some are not. It doesn't Prove that they are all a bunch of racists practicing fascism. In my opinion however they are all wrong for expelling them. I'm not sure how the female survived, but it was only by one vote.

The problem is that 65 of the 72 Republicans voted for expulsion in the one who survived, 69 and 72 in the ones who didn't.

I actually tend to agree with your assertion that most are not themselves fascist racists. But they are also not cognizant of their actions which are overtly enabling it. They are the ones who need your voice rather than us.

If only they would pay heed to their own words:

"We remain focused on solutions that ensure every child and parent feels safe in every community across the Volunteer state."

I'd love to see those solutions come rolling out, although I'm sure they won't. What I'm sure they will do is continue to "pray for healing." Sigh.

They only backed down because of the backlash. If it didn't make national news those three would still be expelled and other states would be following suit. Eternal vigilance.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. and these motherfuckers have been walking and quacking like ducks for quite a bit now. Similar statements were made about mid-stage fascist movements in other countries, awww they can't be that bad. Well, turns out people are that bad. And they all found out the really hard way.

I absolutely love that these assholes called it an "insurrection," quite the self own after Jan 6th and also that Tennessee magats will gladly look the other way when their own are in trouble for theft, fraud, DUI, child abuse, you name it.

Culture war asshats and traitors alike just can't help themselves from preparing their own political slaughter in 2024. Sounds good to me.

Interesting info I'm seeing starting to creep up as a result of this is that the TN speaker, Cameron Sexton, doesn't actually live in his district. Seems he lives full time in Nashville, but has been getting reimbursed for travel related to commuting back and forth.

White people in Tennessee have perfected the art of disenfranchising the vote of black people

Those cretin Republican twats in the TN House were chomping on their bits waiting for a chance to get rid of those Democrats well before the peaceful protest against gun violence occurred and they got that chance when a "rules violation" occurred on the House floor by some uppity heathen socialists in their midst.

The backlash that occurred on the Republican party that day when those Democrats were expelled was sweeter than sweet and so well deserved. Better yet, the Repubs have a habit of making things worse for themselves whenever they get backblasted the way they did by doubling/tripling down with their arrogance and spite.

If that's how you take the facts, you're not doing much better than they are.

She survived by a single vote. Almost all of them voted for her to be removed. Less than a handful voted differently.
But there is a major difference in their actions, which SHOULD dictate the results. She merely walked with the men. Basically she did absolutely nothing wrong with regards to rules and decorum. The two men took all the disruptive action and "paid a price" for it. But with reinstatement that has now been mooted at worst, or better yet, become a badge of honor. Just another notch on the culture war as we still pretend to be a civil society.

I will reiterate that I understand their protest, and I oppose the Republican's response. Nevertheless, your conclusions are clouded in your own hatred.
