I am a current US Navy Submariner based out of San Diego Pt Loma base and looking for something fun to do on saturday. I go out on monday so any suggestions would be appreciated. I have never been on this entire westcoast in my life before i have no idea what there is to do...help me out anandtech. 😀
 
what do you like to do? there are nice beaches and the weather might be nice, but since you're in pt loma and in a sub, you might be tired of the water.

go check out balboa park for museums and other cultural events. go downtown to the gaslamp district for bars and clubs and restaurants. sea world? san diego zoo? just throwing out a few things that came to mind.
 
Well, the ocean is freezing cold unless you have a wetsuit and the air temp is only going to be in the mid 60s the next few days so I'd count going to the beach out.

I'm planning on going for a 30 mile bike ride tomorrow and Sunday I'll probably do some cleaning around the house, some yard work, maybe try to clean the garage and I need to do some work from home as well...sounds like fun huh? :laugh:

Gaslamp is a good place to go. I'd hit that up.

If you like fish tacos, check out the Brigantine. Best fish tacos on the planet!!! Nothing better than a Karl Straus Red Trolley Ale and a couple fish tacos from the Brigantine.
 
You can take the trolley or train if you don't have a car. The weather won't be that great this weekend... but maybe you can hit up PB area
