What's for lunch/dinner?

Just curious. I'm trying my hand at cooking acorn squash. I've never made it before, and it's a long time commitment, so I hope it goes well. I have stuff to make sandwhiches just in case. 😀

Edit: It's kind of bitter. What did I do wrong?

I had leftovers for lunch - german meat patties thingies and potatoes.

Not sure what I'm having for dinner. Maybe just a slimfast shake 🙂

Man, you know how to eat.

I went to the KFC buffet here last week, and they had collard greens, but no pepper sauce! :disgust:

Yep, one of the first things I did when I moved to Manhattan was find out where all the soul food, BBQ and fried seafood places were. I'm still a southern boy!

Lunch was crawfish enchiladas and dinner will be Outback. Eating out is the one aspect of travel that I can still deal with!

i had a can of hormel "hot" chili for lunch

dinner is still undecided, probably some flavor of campbells chunky soup with bread and butter.

We have one like that hear. We used to have a "cajun" restaurant, whose idea of a poboy was a fat german roll with thousand island dressing and meat.

I was dissapointed to say the least. 😉

tuna fish on wheat and for dinner chow mein and chinese meatballs but in between 2 protein shakes

just across the hudson in hoboken right near the path station is "oddfellas". pretty decent cajun food. there's also the delta grill somewhere near midtown near 9th ave i think.

A grilled chicken sandwich and a BLT with a sweat tea from Sonic (car hop kinda place for those of you who don't have them). Chaotic42, I am sure you remember them from down here in MS if you don't have one in Indiana.

I think the best southern food I've had, other than when my mom cooked, was at "BB'S Po-boys and Seafood Restaurant" in Ocean Springs, MS. Sooooo good. It was right there in my back yard for like 15 years, and I only went there when I went home for vacation.

Delta Grill is right down the street from my office. I go there for Happy Hour all the time. The food is OK, kind of like Copelands (in other words, everything is fried or soaking in butter). I can't fault them cuz they've got Abita Amber on tap for cheap.

I'll hvae to give oddfellas a try.

I had lentil soup w/ crackers for lunch. Tonight will probably be a heaping bowl of pasta (gotta eat it now cause I start atkins again on Monday).
